Server log files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files (browser type, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time). This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals and serves technical security and stability. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Contact & terms inquiry
If you contact us via the inquiry form, we process the data you provide (company, customer type, name, email, phone, town, product area, material, quantity and message) to handle your inquiry. If you voluntarily upload a file (measurement list or bill of quantities), we store it under a randomly assigned name in a directory that is not reachable over the internet; it is used solely to process your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply. For each enquiry we also record how you reached the website (the click identifier of an advertisement, campaign values from the address bar, the referring page and the page you opened first). This is used solely to evaluate our own advertising, is stored together with the enquiry and deleted with it. No additional storage is placed on your device for this purpose.
Live chat
This website offers a chat. It only becomes active after you explicitly click “Start chat”; no data is transmitted before that. Your messages are processed exclusively on our own server in Germany and are not passed on to third parties. If you ask for a human colleague, we additionally store the email address you provide and forward your message by email to our team in order to contact you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Conversations are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest. Please do not enter special categories of personal data (e.g. health data) in the chat.
Cookies & session
This website sets one technically necessary session cookie to protect against abusive form submissions (CSRF) and for language selection; under section 25(2) TDDDG this does not require consent. Your choice in the consent banner is stored locally in your browser (local storage) and requested again after six months. The chat conversation id is also stored locally so you can continue writing after changing pages.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Please use the contact details above.

For security reasons this site uses encryption of data transmission. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
